A woman, two hours post-delivery, is still vulnerable and can sink into an emergency condition. As a caregiver, you must remember that her life is in YOUR hands. You must update your Resuscitation Skills!

Fernandez Hospital invites all obstetric care providers, doctors, nurses and midwives to a Hands-on workshop on Obstetric Emergencies and Life Saving Skills. The workshop comprises interactive sessions to make it an interesting and enjoyable learning time.

Substation : Hands-on BLS/CPCR/Arrhythmia Recognition and Defibrillation

STATION II : PPH AND SHOCK

Substation : Fluid Resuscitation/Blood Component Therapy

Substation : Medical and Surgical Methods of Hemostasis in PPH

STATION III : SHOULDER DYSTOCIA

Hands-on Drill using the PROMPT Birthing Simulator for Shoulder Dystocia

STATION IV :  ECLAMPSIA

Case Scenarios and Team-based Eclampsia Drill, Concept of Eclampsia Tray

STATION V :  NEONATAL RESUSCITATION

Initial Assessment of Newborn, Steps of Resuscitation, NRP Guidelines

Overview of the Programme

• Pre-test and Post-test
• An introductory 10 minute session for each workstation
• Hands-on experience on mannequins at each station
• Case Scenario to emphasize the ideal resuscitation protocol
• Question Time / Certificates
