Hands-on training lies at the heart of this workshop. Participants will gain invaluable insights into breaking bad news sensitively, learn to use the bereavement care bundle approach, support families in memory-making and foster healing spaces for families undergoing stillbirth grief. Programme Outline:
Gestation Related Optimal Weight (GROW) app is a software to create customised centile charts, and birth centiles and audit the SGA detection rate. GROW 2.0 is a fully electronic version with risk assessment, auto-plotting of SFH and EFW, and the ability to calculate growth velocity and identify abnormal fetal growth. Added features include twin fetal weight plotting and calculating discordance, auditing, an app for mothers to view their own chart, and auditing tools.
GROW 2.0 has been rolled out to all NHS hospitals participating in the GAP Programme, and the fully electronic software is used in over half a million pregnancies across the UK each year. Early results are already showing that implementation has increased the detection and timely delivery of at-risk babies, with a significant decline in stillbirth rates.

The Stillbirth Society of India aims to unite healthcare professionals, researchers, and compassionate individuals in a shared mission: to combat stillbirths and enhance support for families navigating such profound tragedies. Established in India in 2021, SBSI proudly affiliates with the International Stillbirth Alliance.
Our objectives are to study the etiology, and epidemiological complexities, spearhead research initiatives, formulate robust protocols, disseminate guidelines, infographics and create public awareness.
At the heart of our endeavour lies a profound empathy for the families shattered by perinatal loss. By actively involving mothers who have endured such profound grief, we ensure their voices are heard, their experiences honoured, and their needs addressed with the utmost sensitivity. We extend an earnest invitation to you: join us in this noble cause. Together, let us weave a network of support, amplify our collective voices, and ignite a movement that will resonate across India and beyond. Let us stand as pioneers in our nation’s journey towards reducing stillbirth rates to 10 per 1000 births by the year 2030.
