Management of Obstetrical Emergencies

The Simulation-based Skill Training Workshop on the
Management of Obstetrical Emergencies is a hands-on training that equips participants with skills to identify and manage emergencies firsthand and save the lives of mothers and newborns.
The workshop aims to train all maternity health care providers (Registered Nurses and Midwives) to manage Obstetrical Emergencies through collaborative care.
WHAT DOES THE WORKSHOP INCLUDE?
The workshop includes modules on Respectful Maternity Care Communication Skills, Teamwork, Clinical Skills, Enabled Decision Making and Debriefing. The participants will learn how to tackle emergencies in real-time situations through simulation-based learning and to collaborate with other healthcare providers. The workshop is planned for two days in which participants will be divided into groups. A pretest will be administered, followed by theory sessions, skill training and a post-test.
