Hands-on Workshop on Management of 3rd/4th Degree Perineal Tears

Anal sphincter injury following labour is the most common cause of anal incontinence in women, that can severely diminish the quality of life and lead to considerable physical and psychological impact. Overt sphincter injury can occur in 1–3% of women undergoing vaginal birth. Prompt recognition and adequate primary repair are paramount to good continence. In this workshop, we aim to cover all aspects of diagnosis and management of management of 3rd and 4th degree tears.
