FHERF presents Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO)

The Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) course is a structured, evidence-based training programme designed to strengthen the skills and decision-making of healthcare professionals managing obstetric emergencies during the perinatal and postnatal period.

This blended certification programme combines flexible online learning with intensive, hands-on simulation training, helping you develop practical, life-saving skills while minimising time away from clinical work.

Format

Phase 1: Online learning (4 hours)

• Self-paced digital modules
• Access details shared after registration
• Ends with an online assessment

 
Phase 2: In-person skills workshop (1 full day)

• Mannequin-based simulation training
• Skills stations and real-time assessments
• Focus on teamwork and emergency response
