Adnexal Masses in Pregnancy

The detection of adnexal masses during pregnancy is increasing in the last 20 years due to the widespread use of ultrasound, the technical advancement of such equipment, and the delay of childbearing to an older age. The questions that arise when an adnexal mass is encountered pertain to origin of the mass, its nature, the need for intervention and the potential complications.
In a pregnant women, there are both mother and fetus to consider and difficult decisions may need to be made which could benefit one but be potentially harmful to the other. The purpose of this webinar is to discuss the evidence-based approach to an adnexal mass in pregnancy and address the frequently asked questions based on our experience at Fernandez.
